“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because He has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free, and that the time of the Lord’s favour has come.”

Luke 4:18-19 NLT

Kimberly and I just got married in July 2016, so we are new in this adventure of marriage! This newness gives us lots of excitement for serving the church of LEMC together. My wife is beautiful, gifted in thoughtfulness and wisdom, and easy to connect to. She is as excited to be a part of this church as I am! We both like being around people, laughing, and spending time with family.

Got extra time? Here’s more:

Honestly, I really like getting to know people – it brings me a lot of joy! So please – if you ever see me anywhere, say hi! I like making people feel cared for and important. I think all people are interesting and worthy of attention from others, and that we can learn from each other, with each person in this world having something to offer the rest of us. So I would love to meet you, take time to talk real life, and do something outdoors, creative or sporty with you.

My life has been an adventure of getting to know God more and more. The more I have taken leaps of faith, to trust what He teaches us through the Bible, the more I have realized that He truly is alive and awesome and trustworthy. Having a relationship with God has brought me more joy, excitement for life, and peace than anything else I have ever experienced.

I want to help others trust God too, and experience His reality and action in their life as they lean on Him. I believe God has actually asked me to devote my life’s efforts to achieve this. Some people don’t know a thing about God, and others know a lot but (like me) still struggle sometimes in trusting Him – I want to help both of these types of people learn more about God and trust Him more passionately.

I am excited about youth as individuals – for who they are, what they are capable of doing, and where they are headed. I am excited when I get to serve them and love them and do whatever I can to help them. I also love ridiculous and fun games.

I am excited about young adults – for their transition into fuller independence and big life decisions, and what God has for us all in this stage of life. This is the stage I am in right now, and I am just at the start of it. I want to figure this out alongside others who are wrestling through the same sort of situation as myself.

I am also excited about other age groups of course – so if you are outside of the brackets I just mentioned – no need to lie about your age. I look forward to meeting you too, hoping that I soon get the pleasure of doing so!
