OUR STORY
Mission
Our MISSION is simple.
We exist in this community to lead people in a growing, passionate relationship with Jesus.
But how do we actually do that?
We believe that spiritual growth is relational, and that Jesus leads our growth in three relational directions,
UP with God. IN with each other. OUT with our neighbours.
LEMC has made its home on Tremaine Ave in Listowel since 2002, although its history can be traced back 100 years as of 2025. We believe God has placed us here to build his kingdom through the raising up of disciples who make disciples.
We are a small town church with a big heart for our community. We believe that each and every one of our congregants embodies the mission and ministry of Jesus Christ. Jesus has called us to raise up disciples who will carry his message outside the walls of the church and build His kingdom through making disciples who make disciples.
We believe that everyone is a part of that mission, and this is why we focus on ministry to all age groups. We have a vibrant children’s ministry and youth ministry, and we would love for you to come by on a Sunday and try us out. We also have a Seniors ministry that meets regularly. To learn more about our church and how we go about making disciples, we would invite you to come to one of our two yearly disciple making conferences called GreenHouse Initiative.

HOW WE LIVE
up
With God
Jesus died to give you life! Now he calls you to follow him, living for him instead of for yourself: spending time with him, receiving from him, listening to him, and obeying his direction. As you follow Jesus’ leading, he will transform your way of life. All of this is possible, not by your strength, but by the Holy Spirit, who helps us every step along the way! We want to help you develop a real, meaningful relationship with God, through Jesus.

With Other Christians
Christians are to function together as family on mission: one family, with one Father, doing His work together. Jesus teaches us to love other believers (and other churches) as family, and to gather regularly. God designed you, and the Holy Spirit has equipped you, to be a participant in His Church and His mission. We invite you to build meaningful relationships with other believers, by attending in-person, and getting involved in Groups and Teams.

With Our Neighbours
As you walk with Jesus, He sends you in his authority to do good works. He trains you to forgive, to love generously, to speak about Him, and to invite new people into faith and relationship. Followers of Jesus are servants of others, and ambassadors of God’s message of reconciliation. As a church, we will encourage and equip you as you live on mission, and it is our desire to help you learn and commit to making disciples.
